Kinche | Ethiopian Cracked Wheat Breakfast Bowl

A warm, nutty breakfast dish made from cracked wheat, lightly seasoned with Jeblo’s Koseret herb.

Ingredients

1 cup cracked wheat (Kinche)
3 cups water
2 tbsp niter kibbeh (spiced butter) or butter
Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Bring water to a boil; add cracked wheat.
2. Simmer 20–25 minutes until soft.
3. Stir in niter kibbeh or butter.
4. Serve warm.
