Mitmita Avocado & Tuna Toast

Ingredients

1 ripe avocado

1 can of tuna (in water or olive oil), drained

1–2 slices of bread (sourdough, multigrain, or your favorite)

Mitmita, to taste

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp olive oil (optional, recommended if tuna is in water)

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings:

Cherry tomatoes                                                                                                               

Red onion slices                                                                                                             

Fresh cilantro or parsley                                                                                             

Sesame seeds                                                                                                     

Microgreens

 

Instructions

1.Prepare the Avocado

Scoop the avocado into a bowl.                                                                                     

Add lemon juice and a pinch of salt.                                                                           

Mash gently, keeping some texture.

2.Prepare the Tuna

In a small bowl, mix the drained tuna with:                                                                         

A drizzle of olive oil (optional)                                                                                         

Salt and black pepper

Optional: Mix in ½ teaspoon Mitmita if you want mild, even heat throughout the tuna.

3.Toast the Bread

Toast your bread until golden and crisp.

4.Assemble the Toast

Spread the mashed avocado on the toast.                                                                     

Add the tuna mixture on top.

5.Add the Mitmita

Sprinkle Mitmita generously on top — this is the classic way to enjoy it and gives the best spicy kick.

You can also add extra on top even if you mixed some into the tuna for more heat and flavor.

6.Finish with Optional Toppings

Add tomatoes, onions, herbs, or sesame seeds for freshness and color.
